All Saints Tarrant Keyneston Dorset.
All that remains of the mediaeval church at Keyneston is the tower and the tenor bell. For some unknown reason the church is aligned SE/NW rather than the normal E/W.

Dorset Churches
Dorset Churches, a set on Flickr.

I love taking photographs of Church’s. The Church is the main focal point of any village, Town or City. Every Church has its own character and look, some with towers and some without. Some are run down and turned into homes or even Tesco mini markets!

Empty Church

St Mary The Virgin Tarrant Crawford Dorset.
The thing which most attracts people to this church, however, is the set of ancient wall paintings which cover most of the aisleless nave. Most date from the 14th century, but the earliest is 13th and the most recent from the 16th or 17th century.
