GV II Witchert Cottage. Dated 1807.

The front elevation is decorated in sheep's knuckle bones which form a pattern of hearts and diamonds and, over the ground floor windows, arches with skulls and crossbones. Witchert implements above the door. Date spread across front, also in knuckle bones.

After waiting a couple days, the weather was just right, blue sky and no heavy wind! Early start from home but well worth the wait. Had a chat with Mr Hillier and packed up before the gardens was open to the public at 10am.
